Our partnerships in Paris
Sciences Po has a number of partnership agreements with public and private housing organisations.
Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP)
The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) is unique in Paris. It offers the most student housing in the region, accommodating more than 5,800 young people. The CIUP is located in the 14th arrondissement, less than 30 minutes from Sciences Po.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: approximately 120 individual or shared units
Rent and other expenses: the monthly rent varies according to the type of accommodation, from €410 for a double room with private bathroom to €463 for a single room without private bathroom and €566 for a single room with a private bathroom. 15 studios are also offered to students (rents for the 2018-2019 academic year). A payment equivalent to one month’s rent is required to confirm the reservation. This amount is not refundable and will be used as a security deposit.
Facilities and advantages: communal kitchens on each floor, common areas: study room or library and laundry. No guarantor is necessary.
Allocation of housing: priority is given to new international students with scholarships (Emile Boutmy and Sciences Po Europe in particular) and first year students admitted to the Undergraduate College through the Conventions Education Prioritaire programme (with a Crous scholarship). The Sciences Po Housing Service will contact priority students.
Accomodation is assigned for one year. Renewal of the tenancy agreement for an additional year is not guaranteed under the partnership.
International researchers: the CIUP offers accommodation for visiting international researchers at the Victor Lyon Foundation. For more information, contact the Sciences Po Housing Service indicating the dates of your stay in France.
Lucien Paye Fondation - Cité International Universitaire de Paris (CIUP)
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 15 individual furnished rooms with shared bathroom
Rent and other expenses: monthly rent of €400 (rent for 2018-2019). A security deposit of €200 is required.
Facilities and advantages:communal kitchens and bathrooms on each floor, common areas: study room or library and laundry. No guarantor is necessary.
Allocation of housing: These units are reserved for students from a sub-Saharan African country enrolled in a Master’s programme at Sciences Po. Students new to Sciences Po have priority.

Solidarity housing at the Cité Bonnier
An innovative project for flat-sharing was launched in 2017. The project is run in partnership with the Paris City Council, the council of the 20th arrondissement, Paris Habitat and the association ACLEF, and is part of a broader social and urban development plan.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 30 individual or shared furnished units
Rent and other expenses: The monthly rent varies between housing units but is always moderate (average rent of €414 in 2018-2019). In return, each student spends 4 to 5 hours a week on service projects in connection with community-based organisations in the 20th arrondissement (academic support, sustainable development awareness campaigns or community development projects).
Facilities and advantages: Electricity and gas are included in the charges, on-site caretaker, eligible for housing benefit through the French state (Caf).
Allocation of housing: The housing units are only offered to Master’s students. Interested students need to send an application form and cover letter when contacted by the Sciences Po Housing Service. A panel made up of representatives from Sciences Po, the council of the 20th arrondissement, the Paris City Council, Paris Habitat and ACLEF selects the successful candidates.
Students offered housing through this partnership may renew their tenancy for a second year. Students must demonstrate an advanced level of French (C1).
Les Estudines: student residence at Paris République
Les Estudines République (fr.) is a residence in the heart of the lively 11th arrondissement of Paris, about 25 minutes from Sciences Po by public transport.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 30 furnished studio flats
Rent and other expenses: €998 (rent for 2018-2019), electricity not included. A security deposit equivalent to one month’s rent is requested. Students who want to pay their rent monthly must provide a guarantor resident in France or abroad.
Facilities and advantages: private bathroom and kitchenette, WiFi, sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels and kitchen utensils. Breakfast room, laundry and gym. Daily breakfast free of charge for the first year, and a 30% discount on handling fees which are between €250 and €350.

Jacques Restignat Residence
The Jacques Restignat residence is located in Cachan in département 94, about 40 minutes from Sciences Po by public transport.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 15 individual furnished rooms
Rent and other expenses: €630 (water, heating and electricity included), administration fee of €450, security deposit equivalent to one month’s rent.
Facilities and advantages: living room, private bathroom, a telephone line allowing an Internet subscription, TV socket, communal kitchens on each floor, common areas: study room, laundry, fitness room (available for a fee). No guarantor is necessary.

Martin Luther King CROUS Residence
The Martin Luther King CROUS (fr.) residence is in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. This residence is proposed through a partnership between Sciences Po, the Paris City Council and the Crous de Paris.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 25 furnished studio flats
Rent and other expenses: €406 (for 2018-2019), water, heating and electricity included. A security deposit of €300 is required.
Facilities and advantages: Internet, common areas: common room and laundry. Students are required to apply for VISALE.
Allocation of housing: Priority is given to first year Crous scholarship students admitted to the Undergraduate College through the Conventions Education Prioritaire programme. The Sciences Po Housing Service will contact priority students.
Students who find housing through this partnership may renew their tenancy for an extra year.
Cîteaux CROUS Residence
The Cîteaux CROUS residence is in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. This residence is proposed through a partnership between Sciences Po, the Paris Crous and Université Sorbonne Paris Cité.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 17 furnished studio flats
Rent and other expenses: between €339 and €399 (for 2018-2019), water, heating and electricity included. A security deposit of €300 is required.
Facilities and advantages: individual furnished studio flats with Internet and common areas: meeting rooms, rooms for cultural activities and laundry. Students are required to apply for VISALE.
Allocation of housing: These flats are only available to international students at Master’s level. Priority is given to new scholarship students (Emile Boutmy, Sciences Po Europe or any other scholarship). The Sciences Po Housing Service will contact priority students.
Students who find housing through this partnership may renew their tenancy for an extra year.
Jourdan CROUS Residence
The Jourdan CROUS residence is located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. This residence is proposed through a partnership between Sciences Po, the Paris City Council and the Paris Crous.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 73 furnished studio flats
Rent and other expenses: €446 (for 2018-2019), water, heating and electricity included. A security deposit of €300 is required.
Facilities and advantages: individual furnished studio flats with Internet and common areas: common room and laundry. Students are required to apply for VISALE.
Allocation of housing: priority is given to new CROUS scholarship students or CROUS scholarship students coming back from their third year abroad.
Students who find housing through this partnership may renew their tenancy for an extra year.

Campuséa Lecourbe Residence
The Campuséa Lecourbe CROUS residence is in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. This residence is proposed through a partnership between Sciences Po, the Paris Crous and Campuséa.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 24 individual or shared furnished units
Rent and other expenses: Monthly rent varies depending on the type of unit from €430 to €720, including water, heating and electricity (rents for 2018-2019). A security deposit equivalent to less than one month’s rent is required.
Facilities and advantages: individual furnished flats with Internet and common areas: common room and laundry. No guarantor is necessary.
Allocation of housing: priority is given to new CROUS scholarship students or CROUS scholarship students coming back from their third year abroad.
Students who find housing through this partnership may renew their tenancy for an extra year.

Young Workers Housing Association (ALJT)
The Young Workers Housing Association Silly residence is located in Boulogne Billancourt in the 92 département. This residence is proposed through a partnership between Sciences Po and the Young Workers Housing Association.
Number of housing units available under the partnership: 4 studio flats
Rent and other expenses: Monthly rent varies depending on the size of accommodation from €460 to €560, including water, heating and electricity (rents for 2018-2019). A security deposit equivalent to about one month’s rent is required.
Facilities and advantages: individual studios with Internet and common areas: common room and laundry. No guarantor is necessary.
Allocation of housing: priority is given to first year undergraduate or Masters CROUS scholarship students.
Students who find housing through this partnership may renew their tenancy for an extra year.
