There’s a range of cultural activities to be enjoyed on each campus, some organised by the student associations at Sciences Po, others with external partners. Concerts, exhibitions and visits, theatre, creative writing and music workshops, as well as photography and other visual arts: a variety of forms of expression and opportunities to reveal your artistic side or simply to spark your curiosity.

Dijon campus

The City of Dijon offers students the Carte Culture (FR) facility. This card, costing 5 euros, provides access to preferential rates for a range of cultural outings (concerts, shows, events, etc.) proposed by some thirty partners.

Section #le-havre

Le Havre campus

The region of Normandy invites 15-25s to join the scheme entitled Atouts Normandie (FR). Members can benefit from a range of advantages for visits and cultural events (FR).

The culture and campus life service of the CROUS Normandy (FR) and the Le Havre university cultural service propose a variety of activities, projects and shows.

For cinema buffs: your Sciences Po student card will allow you to see a film at the Studio for only 3 euros instead of 5.5 euros.

Good to know: the municipal museums and libraries are free for under-26s.

Menton campus

Cultural life in Menton is nourished by a variety of influences: art and poetry have taken root thanks to Jean Cocteau who has a museum dedicated to him (FR) designed by the Mediterranean architect Rudy Ricciotti, and music is showcased at the Menton classical music festival, the longest-running festival in France next to that of Aix-en-Provence.

The Arts Club (Bureau des Arts), the student association Art’Ung and Sciences Po Nancy campus propose numerous collaborations with local structures, with cultural events offered at preferential rates. The programmes and schedules are presented on campus at the beginning of the academic year.

Cultural workshops

The catalogue of cultural activities is rich and varied, focusing on active participation:

  • Public speaking and eloquence (in French and English), “Conte et raconte”
  • Visual arts: drawing, painting
  • Video: filming and editing
  • General culture: art history (including museum visits), introduction to oenology
  • Music: COSP (Sciences Po’s Choir and Orchestra)
  • Photography: introduction (in French and English)
  • Theatre: improvisation, introduction (in English)

How to register

Registration for the workshops takes place at the beginning of each semester. The procedure is indicated in the schedule. Participation fees are to be paid at the same time as registration.

Participation and ECTS credits

For each activity you join, you can earn 1 ECTS credit, up to a maximum of 2 credits per semester, subject to regular attendance (no more than two absences).

Preferential rates for cultural events

The Sciences Po Arts Club on the Paris campus (Bureau des Arts) and the Cultural service of the CROUS de Paris offer special student rates for concerts and theatre.

Poitiers campus

Possessing a national theatre (Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers), Poitiers also hosts major international cultural events (such as the Poitiers Film Festival, Filmer le travail, Festival A Corps). A cultural policy aimed at young people provides easy access for students to creative venues throughout the city.

The Carte Culture Poitiers, offered free to students, opens the doors to a range of cultural events at reduced rates.its.

Reims campus

With a population of over 180 000, Reims is a major university hub, boasting a range of cultural venues, offering students an agreeable and privileged environment to enjoy.

The Grand Est region plays a part in cultural life with the Jeun’Est (FR) scheme which proposes preferential rates for all kinds of cultural events.
