How many choices of master can I do?
It depends on the type of Master you are applying for. If you apply for a non-selective programme (besides dual degrees, master joint and masters offered at the School of Journalism), you have to provide only one choice.
However, if you apply for a programme as subject to an admission committee, you must indicate a second choice that is not.
Be careful, there is an exception: if you are applying to the dual degree with the Ecole du Louvre, you must tick the box “gap year”.
My online Student Account is blocked, so I can’t process to the choice of my Master’s programme. What am I supposed to do?
Your administrative registration for the current year must be finalized before you can choose your Master. For further information about administrative procedures, please contact the administrative registration office by email. Be sure to carefully fill out the contact information form so that they can identify your situation and provide you with an appropriate response.
If I have to provide two choices of Master’s programme, can I provide a common cover letter/personal statement for my two choices?
No. As each application procedure is different, you have to write a specific cover letter for each choice if required. These letters have to be sent to the respective admission departments of each schools.

I decided to leave Sciences Po after my undergraduate programme, what is the procedure to follow?
In the event you decide to leave Sciences Po, it is absolutely essential that you tick the appropriate box on your Student Account between Thursday 14th March and Sunday 17th March 2019.
Where should I register for my master degree and foreign languages?
You are required to choose your Master’s programme and foreign languages from your Student Account following the following path: Academic services > Online course registration > Inscriptions spécifiques 2019/20 > Choix de Master
How do I know if am registered?
You can check your choices have been saved through your schedule on the specific semester 2019/2020 via your online Student Account. No receipt will be send, so make sure that you have followed the required procedure.

When will my choice of Master’s and languages be confirmed?
Your choice of Master's and languages for the academic year 2020-2021 will be confirmed on your online student account by mid-June. Your definitive acceptance in the Master Programme will be confirmed only when the juries of the end of year will be kept. You will be informed via newsletter.
Is the calendar of admission to graduate dual degree programmes the same as the Master’s programme choices one?
Not necessary. Some dual degrees are subject to specific admission procedures with different deadlines (often much earlier, i.e. from 2 January). For more information on pre-requisites and deadlines, please check the admissions website. However, as the dual degrees are subject to an admission committee, you must indicate on your Student Account a second choice that is not. Please note that the validation date of your application is the first date specified.
I am still hesitating between a dual degree and a non-selective master programme in Sciences Po. Can I apply to both and choose later?
If one of your choice is a dual degree, you must put it as your first choice and the non-selective programme as a second choice. You might be able to change later the rank of your choices, however please note that as dual degrees are highly selective, your application as to be a very motivated choice.
How to apply to a dual degree?
Dual degrees are subject to separate admissions decisions by the Admissions office. Therefore you must candidate simultaneously through the appropriate procedure and on your Student Account between Thursday 12 and Sunday 15 March 2020 as your first choice.

I have a certification of English Level C1. Do I have to continue English classes?
Students from undergraduate college of Sciences Po achieving the C1 level in English during the second year of study will keep the legacy of the C1 level achievement when graduating to Master degree as long as they have: attended a Master degree curriculum taught in English or followed and validated an English learning course or a course taught in English (level 4). Therefore, you can drop your English learning course to take another if you are attending a Master degree curriculum taught in English or, if you are in a French track, by following a course taught in English.
I was not able to choose my languages during the online registration. Who should I contact?
You can contact the Language Department (write to: email@example.com) by providing your username and the two languages you have chosen.
Are language learning compulsory in Master’s programmes?
It is compulsory to follow one class of foreign language in master. You have to register between Thursday 12 and Sunday 15 March 2020 to choose your schedules during course registrations in July. For further information, please visit the webpag: Charters & Timetables for foreign language classes.
Should I have to pay tuition fees during my gap year?
Yes. You must pay 25% of your tuition fees for the Undergraduate Programme to retain your status as a student of Sciences Po.
If I do a gap year at the end of my undergraduate degree, will I be able to do another gap year during my Master degree?
No. You can only benefit from one gap year during all your studies.
If during the registration period online I did not make a final choice regarding my gap year, what procedure should I to follow?
If you did not make a final choice regarding your gap year, you must put as a first choice the programme you want and as the second choice the gap year.
If I choose to do a gap year, will my choice of master be shifted in the following year?
Yes. After confirmation of your request by the Dean of the undergraduate program, in view of your cover letter, your choice of master will be shifted in the following year.
Do I have to write a cover letter? To who should I send it to?
Yes. You must send a cover letter to the administration of the Undergraduate Programme - firstname.lastname@example.org - describing your motivations to do a gap year, before 12 May.
Do we have to worry about credit indications?
No. You must focus on the master you desire, and tick the relevant box only once.
I am a first year Master’s student and I would like to change my Master’s programme: will I have access to the Master’s choice platform in March 2020?
No. You need to make a direct request to the person in charge into the school you want to integrate, with the agreement of the responsible person in your school.
