Graduate Admissions: Which procedure applies to your situation?

There are several admission procedures and one key condition: you must be ready to commit yourself to a challenging academic endeavour

In order to recruit an increased diversity of students and thereby reinforce the relevance and quality of its curriculum, Sciences Po has implemented several admission procedures for Master's and dual degree programmes, which differ according to the applicant's situation.

It is not possible to apply for a Master's programme through several procedures. It is your responsibility to determine which procedure matches your situation before submitting your application.

Be sure to check the eligibility criteria for each procedure to confirm which one is right for you. These criteria are based on the nationality of your undergraduate diploma (or equivalence), regardless of your other diplomas.

There are some specific prerequisites depending on the programme. Please make sure to check them.

Domestic Graduate Admissions Procedure

You should apply through this procedure if you have already obtained, or will obtain by the end of the current academic year, a French undergraduate degree (or 180 ECTS credits) from an institution located either in France or abroad.

Please note :

  • Applicants who earned 180 ECTS credits must have completed a progressive three-year program in higher education, equivalent to a Bachelor's degree level and must have earned a minimum of 180 ECTS credits to be eligible.
  • If you are applying while currently in your third year of preparatory classes (khûbe) in a CPGE, you will need to obtain an equivalency of 180 ECTS credits by enrolling simultaneously at a university for that purpose.

  • If you are in your third year, in the last year of an international dual degree, in the last year of BASC or at the end of a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's, please visit the dedicated webpage.
