Arianna Ornaghi

Arianna ORNAGHI is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Hertie School. Before joining the Hertie School, Arianna was a British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Warwick. She earned a PhD in Economics from MIT in 2017 and holds BSc and MSc degrees in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.

She is an applied microeconomist who specialises in empirical political economy. In particular, her research aims at improving our understanding of what forces influence the behaviour of public officials such as police officers and judges.

Nicholas KOZENIAUSKAS

Nicholas KOZENIAUSKAS is a Research Economist at the Bank of Portugal and a member of the Business and Economics Research Unit at Católica-Lisbon. He was awarded his PhD in Economics by New York University in 2018.

He is an economist interested in firm dynamics and their relevance for aggregate economic questions. His research is in the fields of macroeconomics, international trade and entrepreneurship.

Mira Frick

Mira FRICK is Assistant Professor of Economics at Yale since 2017 after completing 2 years as a Potdoctoral Associate at the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics. She is also an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in Economics since this year. In 2018, she was a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University and last Fall, she was Visiting Faculty at Stanford. Among her editorial duties, she is Associate Editor at Theoretical Economics

Her fields of interest are in economic theory and microeconomic theory. Her work is regularly published in top-tier journals such as the American Economic Review, Econometrica, The Review of Economic Studies,... and supported by the National Science Foundation. She has also been honoured with numerous teaching awards.

Eric Mengus

Eric MENGUS is Visiting Faculty, on leave from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris) where he is Associate Professor of Economics. He is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Prior to joining HEC Paris, Eric Mengus was a researcher at the Banque de France in the Financial Research Division (2013-2014) and the Monetary Policy Research Division (2009-2010). He is an engineering graduate from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and earned a Ph.D. in Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) in 2014.

His research focuses on macroeconomics and international finance and he works on various topics such as sovereign debt, international capital flows or household insurance.
