Regional Cooperation in the Face of Global Challenges
À propos de cet événement
Le 13 mars 2024 de 17:30 à 19:00
Amphithéâtre Émile Boutmy
27 rue Saint-Guillaume, 75007, ParisThe Mediterranean is more than ever at the heart of the political agenda. Indeed, with the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine and the rising tensions in the region, it becomes ever more challenging to continue efforts to strengthen Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and its sole multilateral framework: the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
This situation raises the more general question of the role and functioning of cooperation and dialogue in times of crises and open conflicts. This conference explored ideas and perspectives between main regional players, took a critical look at the work of the UfM, analysed the challenges facing the Euro-Mediterranean region today and proposed solutions.
A high-level panel discussed and exchanged with students, including the French Interministerial Delegate for the Mediterranean, the Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean and the former UN Special Representative to Libya.
