MiniMUN #3 – Mini COP21: Developing Countries and Climate Change
À propos de cet événement
Le 29 novembre 2014 de 11:15 à 17:45
SPNU and Sciences Po Environnement are delighted to welcome you to MiniMUN #3: mini COP 21!
You may be wondering: what is a miniMUN? MUN stands for Model United Nations, therefore, a simulation, by students of a UN committee. In this committee, each student gets to represent one country on a specific topic. The aim of the simulation is to find a solution to the problem discussed by writing and adopting with a simple majority a resolution.
Join us and lend your voice to developing countries to discuss climate change.
In 2015, Paris will be hosting COP21, a UN summit which aims to fight climate change. COP21 will lay the basis for a legally binding post-2020 climate regime. In this historical moment, developing countries must make their voices heard. What would you say, what would you do if you were representing a nation then? Come and find out!
For this simulation, we will have the honour of welcoming Claire Nantier and Raphaël Dang, diplomats at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and specialised in climate issues.
