Witness our New Parisian Campus Taking Shape
To celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2022, Sciences Po plans to open its new site at Place Saint-Thomas d’Aquin in Paris’s charming Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, just a stone’s throw from our historic buildings on rue Saint-Guillaume.
Dating back to the 17th century, the site served as a Dominican novitiate, military base, then weapons museum. Rife with history, it now makes the perfect location for our premier social sciences institution.
In July 2020, a drone flew over the construction site, capturing the renovations in progress. The renovated site will complete the Paris campus and embody Sciences Po’s threefold approach to engaging the world of the future: openness to diverse talent and areas of study, unity of community, and transformation of education and the world.
This renovated addition will at once preserve Sciences Po’s heritage and train the leaders of the future. Accessible and green, the campus will include agile classrooms for optimal learning. It will also foster exchange between students and professors outside the classroom, with co-working spaces and lounges. Full of natural light and multi-use spaces, the campus will nurture the mental and physical well-being of its community. And, in line with the times, the Sciences Po app will integrate new features to top off the cutting-edge technologies of this new campus.
With this renovated Paris campus, Sciences Po will maintain its position as a pioneer in higher education.
