The Department will be hosting the Research in International Economics and Finance (RIEF) Network's 21st Annual Doctoral Meetings.
The RIEF Network was created in 2004 in order to strengthen scientific cooperation and contacts between European research centres working on international economics. Every year it organises a doctoral meeting which gives selected PhD candidates or young doctors (on the job market) the opportunity to have their papers discussed by senior researchers in the field.

Laurence Bertrand Dorleac, Chair of the National Foundation of Political Science (FNSP) and Mathias Vicherat, President of Sciences Po have the great sadness to inform that Jean-Paul Fitoussi, Professor Emeritus at Sciences Po, former President of the OFCE, former Chairman of our Academic Board and former member and Vice President of our Board of Directors, passed away last night in his 79th year.

Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, economic sanctions have been imposed on Russia on a scale rarely seen in modern times. As the nature and extent of Russian violence worsens, there are growing calls for even tougher sanctions and, in particular, for a drastic reduction of EU imports of key commodities from Russia.
