Daniel F. GARRETT is Professor of Economics at the University of Essex since this Fall. Prior to joining the University of Essex, he was Professor at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) where he remains Associate Faculty. He is also a  Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and of CESifo. Among his editorial activities, he is an Associate Editor at the International Journal of Game Theory, the Journal of the European Economic Association, and the Review of Economic Studies.

His research interests are in economic theory and applications. In 2017, he was awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant for his 4-year project Building Economic Theories from a Dynamic Perspective (DYNMECH).
