Julia MINK is a PhD candidate in Economics at Sciences Po and the French National Institute for Research in Agriculture (INRA), working on a thesis entitled Causal Analysis of the Effects of Life-Cycle Events on Food Consumption Behaviour and Health, under the supervision of Etienne WASMER. She is also currently a Teaching Fellow (ATER) at the Department.

Michael PETERS is Assistant Professor of Economics at Yale University, currently on leave. Priori to joining Yale, he was a Postfoctoral Fellow at the Cowles Foundation and subsequently Assistant Professor at the LSE.
He is a macroeconomist with a focus on development economics and long run economic growth. He has worked on the importance of imperfect competition in product markets in Indonesia, the process of creative destruction — or lack thereof — in the manufacturing sector in India and the long-run consequences of population movements in Europe after the Second World War.

The Department is pleased to be hosting with the Banque de France its annual conference that coincides with the publication of the Financial Stability Review (FSR) in 2021. This annual review is a compilation of articles by academics, experts and financial industry leaders, looking at the challenges to financial stability raised by recent international developments.
This year, the review focuses on whether macroprudential policy is resilient to the pandemic.
Keynote Speaker :
François VILLEROY DE GALHAU, Governor of the Banque de France
He will give the opening address on the The tale of the three stabilities: price stability, financial stability and economic stability, followed by two roundtable discussions with invited guests and Q&A sessions.
The concluding remarks will be made by Sylvie GOULARD, Second Deputy Governor of the Banque de France.

Philippe Martin is Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at Sciences Po since its creation and was its first Chair from 2009 to 2013. He is also a CEPR Research Fellow and Co-director of the Macroeconomics Program at CEPREMAP. Philippe MARTIN was appointed as Chairman of the Conseil d’Analyse économique in January 2018 by the French Prime Minister.
Philippe Martin’s research focuses on international trade and macroeconomics and has been widely recognized at both the national and international levels. He regularly publishes in the « Big Five » peer-reviewed journals such as the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies and the Journal of International Economics, among others. He was also a co-author on a book on economic geography published by Princeton University Press as well as two books published by Éditions de la rue d’Ulm/CEPREMAP.
