Sciences Po and Germany

Relations between Sciences Po and Germany are many, varied and productive, both in terms of research and of faculty and student mobility. There are more German students taking a degree programme at Sciences Po than of any other nationality apart from French.

For many of them, Sciences Po is a highly effective springboard into the European and international job markets.

Teaching programmes in partnership with German universities

Sciences Po maintains a large number of research collaborations with Germany. Some projects are jointly supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), others by the Open Research Area for the social sciences (ORA) with joint funding from France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, or by the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme.

Sciences Po is a member of the Centre interdisciplinaire d’études et de recherches sur l’Allemagne (Interdisciplinary Centre for German Studies, or CIERA)(Fr) which brings together French universities that excel in this field.
