PhD exchange programme

PhD students from all Sciences Po's partner universities have the opportunity to study at Sciences Po on exchange. For more information on PhD exchanges, students should inquire at their home university.

Cambridge-Sciences Po Academic Exchanges programme (CamPo)

Sciences Po and the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Cambridge set up an academic exchange programme in 2014. CamPo is open to doctoral students and to faculty wishing to spend time to conduct individual research at the other institution. CamPo visitors are encouraged to take an active role in academic and graduate seminars at either institution. More information.

American PhD study grants

Sciences Po has special exchange agreements with eight prestigious American universities, enabling their PhD students to apply for a scholarship to study at the Sciences Po School of Research (ex-Doctoral School).

Interested students must be enrolled in a PhD programme and be pre-selected by their home university. Home universities then propose their candidate(s) to the Centre for the Americas at Sciences Po. The Sciences Po School of Research approves the applications and suggests a supervising professor.

These research exchanges do not lead to a separate degree or diploma.

Under this programme, PhD students from Sciences Po in turn have the opportunity to study at social science research centres in these universities.
