1 pl. Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin, 75007, ParisOn June 14th, 2023, the McCourt Institute will hold its fifth event of the “Web3 &” series on the topic of Web3 & Digital Identity, a Human-Centric Technology. This event is a kickoff to the Institute’s new partnership with the Human Technology Foundation (HTF), with which the Institute will launch a new multistakeholder initiative to create a playbook for the adoption of digital identity systems by public and private actors.
The roundtable aims to explore the possibilities and limits of Web3 technologies that allow the creation of decentralized and self-sovereign digital identities. Our lead discussants will explore the conditions for mainstream adoption of this technology by users, and its current stage of development globally.
They will also share their insights and experiences on the potential of Web3 technology to create a more human-centric approach to digital identity.
The event is open in-person to Sciences Po students and external guests, and will be live streamed publicly on the McCourt Institute website.
