À propos de cet événement
Du 25 octobre 2012 à 11:00 au 26 octobre 2012 à 15:30
An international symposium bringing together renowned European and American experts and academics, in the field of U.S. domestic affairs and foreign policy.
The symposium will be the opportunity to explore the issues that have influenced the campaign and will have a bearing on the November 6th vote. Set just a few days after the last presidential debate, the conference will address the decisive issues brought up in the campaign, such as the social and economic issues that have arisen during the Obama presidency, the polarization of the American political life, the role of the Supreme Court, and the importance of the Congressional elections, but also a wide array of foreign policy issues, such as the future of the Iranian nuclear program, Afghanistan post-2014 and the future of the Atlantic Alliance, the redefinition of counter-terrorism policies post 9/11 and the use of military force, the rebalancing of American power towards the Asia-Pacific region, the implications of the Arab revolts for the U.S. and its regional allies, and the impact of the crisis of the Eurozone on the transatlantic relationship.
An international symposium organized by CERI-Sciences Po and the German Marshall Fund of the United States-France
with the support of the Alliance Program, the Embassy of the United States in Paris, Le Monde and PSIA-Sciences Po
