A Special Panel on European Central Bank (ECB) monetary policy with guest speakers:

– Benoit COEURE , ECB executive board member and affiliate professor, Department of Economics, Sciences Po.
– Thomas PHILIPPON, professor New York University, Stern School of Business and former senior economic advisor to the Finance Minister
– Philippe MARTIN, professor Department of Economics, Sciences Po and member of the Council of Economic Advisors

Whereas the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England (BoE) and the Bank of Japan have carried out aggressively expansionary monetary policies, the ECB has been more prudent. Faced with the risk of deflation should the ECB conduct a more expansionary policy and if so how?
