In the framework of the launch of the book Pandemics, Politics and Society. Critical perspectives on the Covid-19 Crisis*, a conference with leading social and political scientists, professors and researchers from universities worldwide.
Chair: Henri Bergeron, Research director CNRS, affiliated to Sciences Po Centre for the Sociology of Organisations and director of the Sciences Po LIEPP’s Health Policies Research Group.
Introducing the book: Gerard Delanty, Editor, Professor of Sociology and Social & Political Thought at the University of Sussex.
The conference will be organised into 3 roundtables:

  • Technocracy vs democracy and the data-driven pandemic
  • Globalization, modernity and pandemics
  • Socio-economic implications of the pandemic

About the book: Pandemics, Society and Politics: Critical Reflections on the Pandemic. Edited by Gerard Delanty. Berlin: De Grutyer
