Artificial intelligence is reshaping economies, societies, and global security architectures at an unprecedented pace, generating transformative opportunities alongside rising systemic risks. Frameworks such as the OECD AI Principles and Unesco recommendations provide a foundation for responsible and human-centric innovation. The pressing challenge now lies in translating ethical AI principles into robust governance models and enforceable safety requirements capable of mitigating risks and strengthening societal trust.
Building on the momentum of the French G7 Presidency and transitioning from the 2026 AI Impact Summit in Delhi to the 2027 edition in Geneva, this roundtable seeks to contribute to defining an international AI playbook that ensures AI delivers positive impact while effectively managing rising global risks.
Hosted at Sciences Po under the Les Mardis de l’IA initiative and co-organised with the French Center for AI Safety (CeSIA), the event convenes leading voices from France, the United-Kingdom, India and Switzerland at a pivotal moment for international AI governance and coordination.
