Her name is a world renown brand. Her craft is as precise and subtle as it is ancient and enchanting. Her personal story is as inspiring as it is humbling.

Apollonia Poilâne is a third-generation baker. That makes her an artist, a craftswoman and an entrepreneur. This means her tools are as natural as they come; her creations as delicious as you would hope; her brand as French as it gets.

How do you run a worldwide company when you are 18 and your parents pass away unexpectedly? How do you craft a unique product in a very crowded market? How do you create when you do not start from a blank page but when you have to balance innovation and legacy ?

This is a story about bread, therefore it’s about art.
This is both a coming-of-age story and a story of legacy.
This is a Rendez-vous de la Création  with Apollonia Poilâne.

Moderated by Alexandre Kouchner, journalist.

#RVdelaCreation

The Cycle of Master Classes "Les Rendez-Vous de la Création" was created in 2016 by the Master’s degree in Communication, Media and Creative Industries at the Sciences Po School of Management and Impact. It is an opportunity for great names in the world of Creation (photographers, directors, chefs, architects, musicians, designers, etc.) to come and share their journeys with students, as well as their vision of Creation and Innovation.
It is also an opportunity to explore with them how creativity can be put at the service of economic, social, societal or environmental impact.
