AI Governance and Ethics

PSIA is delighted to welcome Gabriela Ramos, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Center for AI and Digital Policy, for a keynote speech on the governance gaps of AI.

Drawing on her experience leading UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of AI and her work on the G20 AI Principles at the OECD, Ms Ramos will examine the rapid development and deployment of AI amid major geoeconomic and geopolitical challenges competition. She will address recent calls for a pause in frontier AI developments both in response to recent incidents and AI's impact in many other domains. Ms Ramos will then consider what governments must do to build the incentives, investments, and institutions needed to control the risks and realise AI’s wider benefits.

A panel discussion on AI governance and ethics will follow, featuring Gabriela Ramos, Ignasi Guardans and Bernard Reber, leading experts and practitioners in the field of AI.
