60 minutes with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden

Sciences Po was honored to welcome the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Tobias Billström, for a conversation on the paradigm shift in Sweden’s security policy.

Sweden’s current application for NATO membership constitutes a historic step after two centuries of military non-alignment. Minister Billström outlined the bases for this important change and discussed Sweden's new approach to foreign and security policy, including in the broader European context.

Following an opening address, Minister Billström took questions from students.
