Christopher J. Flinn

Christopher J. FLINN is Professor of Economics at New York University (NYU) and Senior Research Fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto. He is also a Research Affiliate at the Institute for Research on Poverty and a Member of the Scientific Committee of CHILD (University of Torino). Among his editorial duties, he is currently Associate Editor of the Review of Economics of the Household and of the Journal of Demographic Economics, as well as member of the Advisory Board of Labour: Review of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations

His research focuses on minimum wages and labour market outcomes, models of household behaviour, and investments in children. His work is honoured regularly: he is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, he was the Leif Johansen Lecturer at the University of Oslo, an Honorary Research Professor at the Universita di Torino, the John Weatherall Distinguished Fellow at Queen's University, and a Cohen Distinguished Visitor at the Penn Institute for Economic Research. He has also received a number of grants - the latest for his project Household Decision-Making and Child Development (with D. Del Boca and M. Wiswall) in 2014-2017, awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
