General Seminar on International Relations and Global Policy

About

This seminar aims to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration and develop a spirit of teamwork, while respecting the differences among its members. The goal is to facilitate regular meetings and exchanges between CERI internationalists, in a recognized format and according to a stable annual schedule.

It has the following objectives:

• to enable all Sciences Po IR stakeholders to meet at regular intervals to discuss a project, a research issue, a scientific controversy, or a disciplinary challenge;

• to develop a collective identity for CERI in International Relations;

• to promote the IR work of CERI members, both internally and externally;

 • to provide a leading intellectual environment for IR faculty members temporarily hosted by CERI;

 • to stimulate collaboration between colleagues on topics of common interest;

 • to further involve doctoral students in the scientific life of CERI, contributing to the strengthening of the pooling of their training;

 • to provide doctoral and postdoctoral students with extensive exposure to the demands of international research by putting them in direct contact with leading colleagues in their fields of specialization;

 • to encourage the development of collaborative research projects supported by external funding.
