Congratulations!
On 2 September 2016, the first graduates from the dual Bachelor’s programme between Sciences Po and University College London (UCL) received their degree on the UCL campus in London.
This dual Bachelor’s degree with Sciences Po is the only programme of its kind offered at the UCL Faculty of Arts & Humanities. The four-year programme is attracting increasing numbers of undergraduates from around the world. The class of 2020 brings together 31 students of 14 different nationalities.
The class of 2016 was particularly outstanding
The first cohort on the dual Bachelor’s degree was composed of eight students from Sweden, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and Germany. Six received distinctions for their outstanding academic results. Alexandra Hallqvist is one of them. She was nominated for the “faculty medal”, UCL’s highest distinction, which is awarded to only one student per department. Most of the graduates are now studying for their Master’s on the Paris campus.
Two years in France, two years in the United Kingdom, two degrees
Students in the dual Bachelor’s degree programme spend their first two years at one of five Sciences Po campuses in France (Paris, Poitiers, Nancy, Dijon, Menton). The last two years of the programme are spent on the University College London campus in the European Social and Political Studies programme. At UCL, they specialise in one of the following disciplines: economics, law, history, international relations, philosophy or political science. They also improve their proficiency in German, Italian, Spanish, or French, and can expect to be bilingual by the end of the curriculum.
