Ten Years of the Sciences Po American Foundation
On 18 November 2019, the Sciences Po American Foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary at its annual gala in New York City with honoree Nicolas Sarkozy, former French President, and special guest Hala Gorani, Sciences Po alumna and correspondent at CNN International.
The American Foundation works with a view to bolster Sciences Po’s partnerships and fundraising efforts across the Atlantic, and also offers six scholarships. The Michel David-Weill scholarship was awarded to Jacob Kasel by its founder, Michel David-Weill. President Frederic Mion shared with those in attendance the latest developments regarding the construction of the Parisian campus extension at 1, Saint-Thomas, as well as other important updates of the institution on diversity and academic innovation. The evening came to a close with a discussion between Ms. Gorani and Mr. Sarkozy.
