Become a journalist
“The Sciences Po School of Journalism is one of the fourteen schools in France officially authorised to issue a press card to our graduates.” - Bruno Patino, dean of the Sciences Po School of Journalism
A solid foundation in the social sciences combined with practice-focused instruction by media professionals
The Sciences Po School of Journalism offers four two-year Master’s programmes:
- The Master in Journalism offers a comprehensive overview of journalism, including the rules, practice and development of the profession. Courses are taught in French and English.
- The joint Master's programme in Journalism and International Affairs offered with the Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs combines two complementary approaches: the study of international relations and practical apprenticeship of journalism.
- A business journalism programme is also offered in French and English with the Sciences Po Department of Economics.
- The Sciences Po-Columbia dual degree is a unique international journalism programme. The two universities have joined forces to introduce students to all types of media standards and methods, be they French, European or Anglo-Saxon.
