The politics of climate change – Reason for hope?

Climate change presents a grave danger to the environment and to our civilization. Although the future prospects are scary, Dan Jørgensen has a positive vision of why there is a reason to hope for a sustainable future. For this vision to become reality a green revolution is needed. If we act now we can create a new green growth economy and save the climate at the same time.
Dan Jørgensen is a young Danish politician (born in 1975) who has been a member of the European Parliament since 2004 for the Party of the European Socialists. Dan Jørgensen is vice chairman of the Committee for the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety in the European-Parliament. He has several times participated in the UN climate COP-negotiations representing the European Parliament.
The Master of European Affairs and the European Centre of the Department of International Relations and Exchanges in association with the Master of Public Affairs, the Centre for European Studies, the CERI, and the MADP Chair, have launched the “European Lecture Series at Sciences Po”. This series of conferences will take place on Wednesday afternoons and address different topics pertinent to European current affairs.
