Every four years, the World Energy Congress is the most relevant global gathering of all protagonists in the energy industry.
In the absence of a truly global energy organization, the World Energy Congress is the opportunity for many of the non-OECD countries and energy companies to articulate their perspective on the future of energy.
In the occasion of the Congress, the World Energy Council also publishes a set of scenarios which significantly differ in their methodology from those of the International Energy Agency, various companies and other institutions.
The last Congress took place in Istanbul in October 2016 and brought to the surface some very interesting new insights.
Olivier Appert and Jean-Eudes Moncomble, will present the scenarios and the main messages that emerged out of the Istanbul Congress.
