The energy transition in Europe: myth or reality?

Since the adoption of the 2009 energy and climate framework, Europe presented itself as the leader of the energy transition. However, in the run-up to the COP21 conference which will take place in Paris ‎next December, it is worth bursting some myths on the actual results achieved by European policy, as compared to the rest of the world. Therefore, in order to remain the engine of change and retain its leadership, the European Union has to gain new momentum and build a true “Energy Union”.
