The ongoing economic and health consequences of COVID-19 coupled with overlapping crises including conflicts and climate change, are jeopardising human development in many countries. Ensuring access to services such as education or sexual and reproductive health services and supporting changing norms and increasing social protection are central to ensuring human development and boosting shared prosperity.

The panel discussion featuring Mamta Murthi, Vice President for Human Development at the World Bank, will focus on the challenges to human development and the evolution of both development financing and international development architecture.

This event is part of a series of events organized by PSIA in the context of the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact taking place in Paris on 22-23 June.

Speaker: Mamta Murthi, Vice-President for Human Development, World Bank

Moderator: Béatrice Néré, Head of Southern Europe, G7 & G20 at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
