SIOE’s Annual Conference is an international research forum for ideas and interdisciplinary debate on contemporary issues of governance and institutions. This year’s 3-day conference, organized by Sergei Guriev, President-Elect of SIOE and Professor at Sciences Po’s Department of Economics, has drawn scholars from all continents to discuss topics such as migration, big data, union representation, State corruption, contractual relations…

Philippe AGHION, Professor at the College de France and at the London School of Economics: “Innovation, income inequality, and social mobility”
Alberto Alesina, Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University: “Social mobility and preferences for redistribution”

The Society for Institutional and Organizational Economics – formerly known as the International Society for the New Institutional Economics – promotes rigorous theoretical and empirical investigation of the nature, behavior, and governance of organizations and institutions using approaches drawn from economics, organization theory, law, political science, and other social sciences.
