Objective: understanding the city
The Sciences Po Urban School offers five programmes. Three of these are Master’s degree programmes: the Master of Urban and Regional Policies and Strategy (STU) to study regional and urban governance in France and Europe; the dual Master of Urban Policy with the London School of Economics (LSE, UK) to study regional and urban governance with an international approach; and the Master of Governing the Large Metropolis (GLM) to train in the governance of very large world cities.
The Urban Planning Programme is open to young professionals and graduate students who have completed the first year of a Master's programme.
The Executive Master of Metropolitan Governance is a programme designed to prepare professionals for change management roles by gaining a cross-cutting, analytical perspective of metropolitan governance.
The Urban School also offers a MOOC which is freely accessible to all. This online programme delivers a conceptual and comparative approach to understanding urban models, the way they change, and the social and political issues they raise.
Various career prospects
Graduates go on to work in diverse areas and roles, from operational positions to research and development, consulting, and academic research.
