Global Visiting Faculty Program

Launched in 2021, this program is open to researchers from all social science disciplines and all nationalities. It welcomes two scientists per year for a period of one semester each.

In addition to pursuing their research projects, the successful applicants are invited to participate in the activities of the Sciences Po’s research center they join, to give a lecture, and also to take on a teaching role.

The program currently has nine successful applicants, including two for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Sciences Po Paris Visiting Fellowship Program

Launched in 2025, this program targets scholars of all nationalities and disciplines in the social sciences who are currently based in the United States. It hosts two fellows per year, each for one semester. In addition to pursuing their research projects, fellows are invited to participate in the activities of the Sciences Po’s research center they join and deliver a public lecture. The first two fellows will arrive during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Fellows for both programs are selected through an annual call for applications, with a deadline set for November 7 2025.

Consult all the calls for visiting faculty programs at Sciences Po.

Section #accueil-exil

Hosting Program for Scholars in Exile

Sciences Po actively participates in the National Program for Emergency Assistance to Scientists in Exile (PAUSE). Since 2018, 11 researchers – who were in danger in their home countries due to conflict or persecution – have been welcomed at Sciences Po under this program. Thanks to the financial support provided by the PAUSE program, they are able to join one of Sciences Po's research centers for one or two years (or even three years for doctoral students).

Beyond the academic opportunities it offers these scientists in exile, Sciences Po is committed to providing them with special support in all aspects of their arrival and integration in France, in close collaboration with the PAUSE teams.
