After a mandate of reforms (adopted or aborted), France is still confronted with many social issues: aging, new social risks for young, lone parents, children, precariousness, long term unemployment… What are the challenges and potential for reforms? What are the main cleavages structuring the political debates during the electoral campaign?

- Daniel Clegg, Senior Lecturer in Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh, specialised in French and comparative social and labour market policy
- Hélène Périvier, Researcher in economics at Sciences Po, OFCE, Director of the Academic and Research Program on Gender Studies of Sciences Po, PRESAGE.
Chair: Bruno Palier, CNRS Research Director at Sciences Po, Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics, specialised in comparative welfare state reforms studies.
