ABSTRACT/RESUME
In the last few years, hate speech and crimes have increased all across Europe. France is not an exception. The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) regularly monitors the experiences of discrimination, hate and violence of people with protected characteristics. This full day workshop focuses on the evaluation of the state of equality, non-discrimination and anti-racism policies and instruments through a thorough overview of the findings of the surveys undertaken by FRA. By placing France in the context of the European Union, the workshop will provide an opportunity to evaluate the efficacy of the policies meant to protect the human rights of all citizens and residents.
