Pietro Garibaldi is currently Professor of Economics at the University of Torino, and Director of the Allievi Program and Fellow of the Collegio Carlo Alberto. He holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics. He is also a research fellow of CEPR (London), IZA (Bonn), and head of Labor Studies at Fondazione Debenedetti. He is a supervisory board member of Intesa SanPaolo and former Vice Chariman. He is one of the founding and current editors of www.lavoce.info Between 2004 and 2005 he was the Economic Counselor of the Italian Ministry of Finance. He was previously an economist in the IMF Research Department and an associate professor of Economics at Universita' Bocconi (Milan). His main research interests are in the macroeconomics of the labor market, with particular emphasis on institutions and labor finance interactions. His main publications are in the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Economic Journal, European Economic Review, Journal of the European Economic Association, Review of Economic Dynamics. He is also author and editor of books published by Oxford University Press.
