Take part in the first Open Day dedicated to doctoral studies
Are you considering pursuing a PhD and embarking on an academic or research career, or working in public or international institutions? Don’t miss the upcoming Sciences Po PhD programmes Open Day, which will take place on Thursday 29 January 2026 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This fully online event will allow you to explore the five PhD programmes offered by the School of Research and to meet our staff, researchers, and PhD students.
All presentation sessions will be held in English, but you will be able to ask your questions in either French or English.
Discover our five outstanding doctoral programmes
The Directors of Doctoral Studies for each of the five disciplines will present their doctorate, joined by current PhD students and alumni:
- Doctorate in Law
- Doctorate in Economics
- Doctorate in History
- Doctorate in Political Science, with three specialisations: Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory
- Doctorate in Sociology
You will also be able to learn about the many international partnerships, mobility schemes, and opportunities for research stays abroad.
Everything you need to know about PhD admissions and funding
The Research School team will provide an overview of PhD admission procedures, along with funding opportunities and conditions, doctoral contracts, and mobility options.
Programme
2pm: General presentation of the School of Research, PhD admission procedures and funding opportunities, led by Dina Waked, Dean of the Research School.
3pm to 6pm: One detailed presentation session for each of the five PhD programmes, led by the Directors of Doctoral Studies and joined by current PhD studentes.
