Career Entry: Results of the 2026 Graduate Employability Survey
The results are in: the 2026 Graduate Survey, conducted by Sciences Po Careers, has just been released. Over 4,500 recent graduates from the classes of 2025, 2024, and 2023 took part in the graduate employment survey and provided information about their career situation. Here are the key findings.
A strong international mobility
The survey results underscore the global appeal and recognition of Sciences Po programmes:
- Nearly one‑third of graduates begin their careers abroad,
- Mainly in Europe (69%),
- 65% hold positions with an international scope.
A strong professional integration
The analysis highlights outstanding employment outcomes and the high‑quality profiles of Sciences Po graduates:
- 57% of young graduates from the class of 2025 who are employed secured a position before graduating,
- 42% of new graduates found their jobs through their internships or apprenticeships, confirming that professional experience is the key to entering the labour market.
The diversity of career paths and sectors explains significant salary variations depending on the field chosen.
Across all master’s programmes, the average annual gross salary including bonuses is €48,194 for young graduates employed abroad and €43,597 for employees in France six months after graduation. Salaries increase significantly in the early years of a career, reaching €60 663 internationally and €48 673 in France after thirty months. This progression reflects the strong value of our graduates’ skills.
A wide range of career opportunities
Sciences Po graduates find opportunities across a broad spectrum of sectors, for the six‑month cohort:
- 53% work in the private sector,
- 26% in the public sector,
- 11% in NGOs or associations,
- 10% in international organisations.
Consulting and engineering remain the leading sectors, followed by public administration.
Fulfilling and evolving jobs
Key factors for graduates six months after graduation include:
- 81% report being satisfied or very satisfied with their job,
- 84% believe their job matches their level of qualification,
- 81% believe their job aligns with their academic training,
- 39% of international students choose to stay and work in France after graduating, highlighting the attractiveness of the French labour market,
- 81% state that artificial intelligence and big data impact their job.
