QS 2026: Sciences Po 2nd Best French University in Employment Outcome & International Students
It's one of our favourite annual rendezvous: the QS World University Rankings of the top global universities. The 2027 edition (out in June 2026) is the largest ever, with 1,504 published universities (for 8,808 evaluated institutions) across 106 higher education systems.
Sciences Po stands out in two categories, ranking 2nd in France in both Employment Outcome and International Students. Our university ranks among the top 2% of the world's universities evaluated by QS.
The 2026 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, published in March, ranked Sciences Po as the 3rd best university in the world in the “Politics” category.
What are the main trends of our graduates' employment outcome?
- High degree of employability: 9 out of 10 graduates who entered the job market are currently employed, among them, 98% find a job within six months and 57% secure a position before even graduating ;
- International mobility: nearly one-third of our graduates start their careers abroad, primarily in Europe (64%), and 66% hold positions with an international scope. Moreover, 41% of international students choose to stay and work in France after graduating, highlighting the attractiveness of the French labour market ;
- Swift salary growth: the average annual gross salary is €42,439 internationally and €39,705 in France six months after graduation. Salaries increase significantly in the early years of a career, reaching €58,391 internationally and €44,442 in France after thirty months ;
- Opportunities across various sectors: 48% work in the private sector, 25% in the public sector, 15% within NGOs or associations, and 13% in international organisations ;
- Fulfilling jobs: six months after their graduation, over 80% of our graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their job, believe it matches their level of qualification, and aligns with their academic training.
