Covering the Olympic Games at the School of Journalism

Athletes training, search for funding, urban constraints: how can journalists tackle a subject as vast as the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games?

The School of Journalism at Sciences Po prepares students for careers in all sectors of the news media – written press, radio, television and the web. The programmes combine a solid foundation in the social sciences and practice-focused instruction provided by media professionals.

The 2024 graduation ceremony was an opportunity to showcase video coverage of the Olympic Games by students at the graduate school. The students take part in intensive weeks each year. From the weekly editorial meeting to on-site reporting, they were able to work under the real-life conditions of a TV newsroom.
