Anne-Solenne de Roux Appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs

Luis Vassy, President of Sciences Po, has appointed Anne-Solenne de Roux as Vice president for academic affairs, overseeing the entire student journey from being admitted to starting a career.

Anne-Solenne de Roux graduated as a legal scholar from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. She has held a number of senior leadership roles at Sciences Po over the past decade:  Executive Director of the Law School (2016–2019), then of the School of Public Affairs (2019–2023), before joining the central Directorate for Education and Research in 2023 as Deputy Director. She has also been a member of Sciences Po’s Executive Committee since 2024.

Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of educational, strategic, and institutional priorities. She has contributed to broadening recruitment pools, adapting academic programmes to the changing demands of the professional world, strengthening the academic governance of degree programmes, and developing innovative initiatives such as the “Prépas Talents” and legal clinics.

As Vice president for academic affairs, she will be responsible for all aspects of Sciences Po’s education policy, from overseeing the curriculum to ensuring a high-quality student experience.

Anne-Solenne de Roux embodies a rigorous and ambitious vision of education at Sciences Po – one that combines academic excellence, social inclusiveness, and international reach. At a strategic juncture for our institution, I know I can count on her energy and experience to further enhance the quality and impact of our programmes for our 12,000 students.

Luis Vassy, directeur de Sciences Po
