A dialogue with Michael Lind, Co-Founder of the New America Foundation
Introduced by Ghassan Salamé, Dean of the Paris School of International Affairs
Michael Lind has been described by Rolling Stone magazine as “that rarest of figures: an intellectual with name recognition” and included in Richard Posner’s list of leading American intellectuals.
Lind is the author of a number of books on public policy, politics, economics and history. His most recent book is Land of Promise: An Economic History of the United States (HarperCollins 2012).
Lind is a contributing editor to Politico and The National Interest and Policy Director of the Economic Growth Program at the New America Foundation, a public policy research institute which he co-founded in 1999. He has been an editor or staff writer at The New Yorker, Harper’s, The New Republic, and the National Interest. Lind writes frequently for the New York Times and the Financial Times and has a weekly column in Salon.
