Trends and Risks in Sovereign Borrowing: What is Next?
About this event
23 April 2024 from 17:30 until 19:00
Room Goguel
27 rue Saint-Guillaume, 75007, ParisThe Paris School of International Affairs is pleased to inform you that a roundtable discussion is being organized by the Sciences Po Chair in Sovereign Debt in partnership with the OECD Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs.
The world is currently facing unprecedented levels of sovereign debt; levels which are projected to rise further in the coming years. The OECD Global Debt Report 2024 identifies where risks and vulnerabilities have increased since 2008, and what impact this will have in current market conditions with less accommodating monetary policy.
This roundtable will bring together a group of international experts, who represent some of the main stakeholders involved in the analysis of sovereign debt, and who will engage in an open dialogue to identify key areas that require urgent policy action.
With:
- Sarah Carlson, Senior Vice President, Moody’s Ratings
- Carmine Di Noia, Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs, OECD
- Jean-Pierre Landau, Professor, Economics Department, Sciences Po
Moderated by:
Paola Subacchi, Incoming Chairholder, Sovereign Debt Chair, Sciences Po
