A masterclass with Anne Mottet, a Livestock Development Officer with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, specialised in natural resource use efficiency, climate change and agroecology.
This conference will discuss ways to reconcile economic growth, food security, nutrition, environment and climate change.
Moderation by Dr. Sebastien Treyer, Executive Director at IDDRI, and a group of students from the class Science and the Politics of the Planet, Sciences Po.
With a strong academic background in life sciences, economy and policy evaluation, and over 20 years of work experience in research, quantitative analysis and strategic consulting to the agricultural sectors, Anne Mottet supports the sustainable development of the livestock sector in different regions of the world.
She currently leads a program of work on technical assistance to International Funding Institutions, such as World Bank and IFAD, to support their investments in low carbon and resilient livestock. She also co-leads the global development and implementation of the Tool for Agroecology Performance Evaluation. She currently works with governments, farmers, the private sector, NGOs and scientists in the Sahel, in Southern Africa, in Central Asia, in South Asia, and in Latin America.
