Fabian Muniesa, is Senior Researcher at Mines ParisTech (Ecole des Mines de Paris), where he directs the Observatory for Responsible Innovation. He is the author of The Provoked Economy: Economic Reality and the Performative Turn (Routledge, 2014). Working at the interface of science and technology studies and economic sociology, he has been a long-time contributor to the social studies of finance.

His current research concentrates on the anthropology of capitalization, funded by an ERC Starting Grant. His work primarily aims at developing a pragmatist, materialist approach to the study of calculation, valuation and organization.

Past and current research topics include the automation of financial markets, the practice of economics and the implementation of performance indicators.

 

 

Daniel Benamouzig became a CNRS Researcher in 2001, and joined the CSO-Sciences Po in 2008. His research ranges from public health and economic policy to institutional governance. In particular, he has studied the history of healthcare economics in France, as well as institutional changes in the regulation of this field by looking at the creation of a number of specialized agencies, in France and at the European level.

He continues to conduct research in the field of economic and political sociology of healthcare. He is particularly interested in institutional changes and the mobilization of knowledge in this field.

He is the author of two books: Economie et sociologie (with F. Cusin), PUF, 2004, and La santé au miroir de l’économie : une histoire de l’économie de la santé en France, PUF, 2005.
