A talk by Andrew F. March, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of political philosophy, Islamic law and political thought, religion, and political theory.
Discussion by Makram Abbès, Professor of Arabic Studies at Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon. His research addresses theories of war in Islam, the political though of law scholars of the Medieval period, and Islamic moral and political philosophy.
