Navigating Haiti’s Path Forward: Insights from the OAS Special Representative

13 rue de l'Université, 75007, ParisJoins us for an exclusive discussion on Haiti’s political and security challenges, held one year after the deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. This event will feature Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Ambassador Cristobal Dupouy, who will provide insights from his recent mediation efforts in Haiti, including a last-ditch attempt to broker a compromise between the Prime Minister and the Head of the Transitional Presidential Council.
The discussion will be moderated by PSIA Faculty member Ronald Hatto, who served previously as a peacekeeper in the Canadian Army with the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) and authored an article “What peace operation for Haiti?” in December 2023.
The discussion will touch upon several topics:
