Multi-speed Europe

About this event

22 April 2015 from 15:30 until 21:30

Annual Conference of the Master of European Affairs with keynote speaker Jean-Claude Piris, Former head of the legal service of the Council of the European Union

The keynote speech is open to the entire Sciences Po community (first come, first served basis)

The European Union is currently facing numerous challenges, including rising populism, deepening poverty and proliferating security threats in its neighborhood. As the Union’s leaders look for solutions a multi-speed Europe is becoming an increasingly appealing option.

Students will tackle the idea through discussions in five different working groups:

– Monetary Union – Chaired by Jacques le Cacheux (SciencesPo/OFCE)

– Social Europe – Chaired by Cécile Thévenot (OECD)

– Migration Policy – Chaired by Thibaut Jaulin (SciencesPo CERI)

– Defense Policy – Chaired by Jordan Rowell (Notre Europe)

– The Institutional Framework – Chaired by Martina Menghi (Notre Europe)

Please register here to participate to the working groups
