The history of Reims is certainly strongly marked by the Kings of France, champagne merchants, illustrious mayors, and the architects of the Cathedral and the post-war reconstruction… But what place did women hold during these periods of history?

Who are the remarkable women who passed through the city of Reims?

From Veuve Clicquot to Gustine, including Jeanne d’Arc, Marie Drouet, Alice Saunier-Seïté, Ghislaine Souëf, and many others, this tour highlights the women of Reims who left their mark on history.

Designed on the principles of popular education, this tour places participants in an innovative role as both learners and knowledge-holders. Its activist message gives the visit a distinctly feminist dimension: revisiting history and the women who were forgotten by it offers an opportunity to examine inequalities related to the condition of women inequalities that have sometimes been overcome, and sometimes not entirely.

  • Thursday, March 26 at 12:30 p.m.
  • The meeting point will be sent to registered participants.
  • Average duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Language: English
