Denmark and France have highly complementary approaches to the fight against climate change.
France was the driving force in landing the COP21 agreement in Paris, has positioned itself as a leader when it comes to setting the international climate agenda and has just seen the completion of an innovative democratic exercise to strengthen climate policies at the domestic level through a Citizens’ Convention on Climate.
Denmark has set a very ambitious 70% reduction target for 2030 and has a strong track record in harnessing the potential of public-private cooperation to deliver innovative green technologies and solutions, for example through the 13 so-called “climate partnerships”.
This webinar will bring together French and Danish actors across the public and private sector to discuss the new challenges that the two countries are facing in bringing down their emissions as well as the lessons-learned and potential synergies between the French and Danish approaches to the green transition.
